Origin: Ireland is one of the most tea-loving countries in the world, with an estimated average consumption of an incredible 1,300 cups per person each year. Among the country’s firm favorites is the Irish breakfast tea, which is actually consumed throughout the day. One of the pioneers of direct tea trade to the country was Samuel Bewley whose Irish tea legacy still lives on today.

Our Irish Breakfast tea needed to be of superior quality and strong enough to be worthy of the Bewley family name. This black tea blend was created using quality, well-processed, tea leaves and light tips carefully chosen from different tea plantations throughout the Assam valley region. The result is a strong, dark brew that’s earthy, spicy, and malty. This tea is substantial enough to withstand any kind of weather, any amount of milk, sugar, or citrus, and packs enough caffeine to get you through the most monumental tasks on a Monday morning!

1 large teaspoon (3 grams) per 8oz cup of less than boiled water, preferably 200F or less.

*Brewing Tip: As with all black tea, steeping for longer times and at higher temperatures, will only activate more tannins increasing astringency and bitterness. Instead, use more tea for a stronger, bolder brew, or use less tea at lower temps for a softer, more mild flavor.

Sample size provides at least 4 servings. 1.5oz pkg provides at least 14 brewed cups.

Pre-measured tea packs contain 2 easy-to-brew pouches. One pouch brews 32oz of tea; the perfect size for a standard English Pot of Tea. Two pouches together will brew 64oz, the standard household pitcher or half-a-gallon, just the right amount for Iced Tea.

For a quick Iced Tea preparation, steep both pouches together in 32oz of water per the temperature & steeping time suggested. Then finish by adding the strongly brewed tea to cold water and/or ice to fill your standard 64oz pitcher. You can remove the pouch(s) at any time once the flavor you desire is achieved. Sweeten & garnish to your liking.

CAUTION: Do NOT pour hot or boiled water into any plastic pitchers or containers, ever.
